Greetings, my viewers. It's a wonderful day for an update from your
host to the end of the world. Being a Saturday I am, of course, working
due to the constraints of this mortal shell of mine. I suppose even
immortals aren't excluded from paying rent or gassing up the old iron
mule; back to the matters at hand.
With the completion of Liberation: Chapter 6 online, which can be accessed here
by the way, I've decided to immediately follow up with Chapter 7, which
will be a direct follow-up to the events that ended chapter six. I have
to admit, writing Liberation has been an excellent forum for developing
my writing skills. Not only have those skills been applied to
subsequent chapters, but to the writing I've done for the book I've been
working on in tandem with Liberation.
I realize I haven't given you any information regarding said book, let's break that mold.
Ever
since high school I've fiddled around with story lines and characters
but I never reached the point to where they achieved actualization. The
reason for this being my medium-of-choice has always been RPG Maker
2000/2003. Creating graphics and programming certain events became very
time-consuming and as a result I have never failed to drop the project.
The unfortunate news ends here, however, as the progress I've made in
scripting the stories have influenced both the structure I use in
plotting the story and the content of the story itself.
The
story of the book, which I will refer to as Project Starlight in my
forthcoming posts, begins in a town called Calrena (interestingly enough
all of the towns my RPG Maker projects begin in are named Calrena)
where the main character has been living for the last few years where he
works at an agricultural supply store but earns a living as a thief by
night. All I will say at this point is that not everything is as it
seems.

Greetings, followers. Let me start by telling you thank you for following my journey into authorship. It's been a year since I started my blog Exploited Antonyms and in that time I feel I've grown as not only an author, but as a person as well. I appreciate the comments I've received from friends and family alike, they have helped me along tremendously.
When I started this blog, it began as my personal writing space; a platform from which I could share my thoughts and my poetry. Towards the end of August, however, I wrote the first chapter of a story I intended to wrap up in no long time. That story was Liberation: Chapter 1. Somewhere after authoring the third chapter, I realized the importance of such a story; it was something my fans could look forward to. As such, I continued it at an irregular pace, making time for other writing topics and opportunities to allow myself to grow as a writer.
It wasn't until January, however, that the idea for me to write a full-length novel crossed my mind. However, the longer I worked on forming the basis of the story, the more I realized what an immense task it was to write a book on the scale I desired. It literally took me months of brainstorming, writing, re-writing, trashing ideas, and several instances of tearing my hair out to settle on the premise and beginning point. I'm happy to report that I'm 2 chapters in, and Liberation: Chapter 6 is well on it's way out of the stalls.
Seeing how I've been at this for an entire year already, I'll tell you a little about myself:
As you might have guessed from reading Liberation, I'm from Florida. I wasn't born in Florida, however, I moved here from Missouri when I was 13; that was 12 years ago. For those 12 years I went through middle school, high school, and college all without leaving the vicinity of Naples, Florida. My original plan was to become a high school teacher in the language arts in Naples, but as fate would have it, Naples wasn't where I was meant to settle.
As little as two weeks ago I finally got all of my things together and moved to Orlando, where my current plans are to enroll to UCF in the spring as a graduate student. So far the move has been a pleasant one; I've adapted my habits to Orlando without so much as a hiccup. And while I like the downtown area of Orlando I'm even more impressed with the vast number of conveniently-located Starbucks whose wifi becomes the vessel to further my craft... and downloading Breaking Bad every week.
Anyways, seeing as how I'm at work now I need to wrap this up. I've been having customers come in at the worst times all day today. That and I have actual work to do around the store.
This last year has been a fun and enlightening one, I look forward to another full of writing.

Ignited Musings
Greetings, this is your host, Mr. H.
I have created this blog to supplement my existing literary endeavor, Exploited Antonyms. I feel that I cannot always author as often as I would like, so I wanted to find a medium in which to communicate with my readers when I cannot communicate through my authorship.
Just to shed some light on myself, as I have intended for some time, my name is Matthew Harty. Matthew Robert Harty to be more specific, my initials led me to my current handle as you now see. I am an author living in Naples, Florida. I work two jobs on top of trying to break into the teaching profession. I am a graduate from Florida Gulf Coast University, class of 2009, and I plan to pursue higher education once I become established in my career.
My favorite things in the world are interactions with my fellow human beings, good music, good stories, and staying healthy. I value my intelligence above all else, and I seek to improve myself on a daily basis.
I believe that self-expression is essential to every human being on the planet. I also believe that it's a lack of expression of people's inner thoughts that leads people to act out against others in more ways than one. When I think of art, I see it as any form of expression, whether it be drawing, painting, writing, singing, being good at a sport, etc. I believe that we, as a society could better ourselves by simply expressing ourselves more in a positive, constructive manner.
I'm going to be abrupt now and call it quits. Liberation: Chapter 4 has been completed and its awaiting slight revision. For now, though, I'm going to retire into L.E. Modesitt Jr's collection, Viewpoints Critical. Have a Merry Christmas, and happy feasting to all.
